'Ivy Cottage' originates as a late 17th century cottage consisting of a modest two bedroom single thatched roof building. Later in the early 19th century the cottage was extended, adding another pitch to roof and replacing it with slate, doubling the size of the cottage and making it a welcoming and comfortable family home . The cottage previously known as 'Chalk House' due to the chalk construction of the original 17th century part of the house is based in the picturesque conservation area of Eling , tucked away next door to the 'The King Rufus pub'.
Please click on the Eling page to find out more about the local area, and things to do.

We keep our own chickens and ducks and they will be supplying you with your eggs in the morning. Just let us know how you like them.
